The G1 test is the first step in Ontario's graduated licensing system. It is a multiple-choice test taken at a DriveTest centre, split into two parts: one on road signs and one on the rules of the road. You need to pass both parts to receive your G1 licence, which lets you start practising driving with a fully licensed driver beside you. The best preparation is to read the Official MTO Driver's Handbook and then practise until you can answer sign and rule questions without hesitating.
Most adult applicants for Canadian citizenship take a test on Canada's history, geography, economy, government, laws and symbols, and on the rights and responsibilities of citizens. The questions are based on the official study guide, Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship. Reading the guide carefully and then practising with mock tests is the most reliable way to prepare.
